Recently our towns local judge came in and cleaned up an FNM with Mill, he used a lot of ponders and preordains and Jaces Erasures to keep card advantage and have answers while making you mill, then he'd use Jace, Memory Adept's + ability to draw a card and make the opponent mill 1, and then by him drawing each erasure would trigger and the guy would mill more, and then when jace finally ultimates, our judge would draw 20, the other player would draw 20, and then mill 20 for each erasure. Im pretty sure the rest of the spells were control magic, frost titans, and phantasmal images and stuff

Also, I was asked to run the tournament that night in his place, it was awesome

First of all, you mean mill.

Second, Jace the mind sculptor is banned in standard. I think you mean Jace, Memory Adept

Third, mill is kinda bad.

Fourth, playing singletons of cards is BAD.

Fifth, Innistrad is gonna LOVE having cards in graveyards. Which is BAD for you.

My advice?

Wait till Innistrad comes out before deciding on an archetype.

But mill could be good in Modern.

remove those 4 bloodstained mires. you realy dont choose them in any respect. A deck could round 20-25 land, about a million/3 of your deck must be lands. in case you retain on with that rule(that you do), then you shouldnteed those 4 bloodstained mires. you could save one or 2 i wager, yet i dont use mine in any respect.

Discard only happens from the hand. You have too many one-ofs for your deck to work.
