2. Can they go in the monster zone or do they have to go in the pendulum zone

Answers to your 5 question.

1. Yes.

2. Both. Summon as a monster. Activate as a spell in the pendulum zone.

3. No.

4. To get rid of a Pendulum monster in the Pendulum Zone, use cards like Heavy Storm.

5. 1 Pendulum Summon equals many monsters you want to special summon at once. 1 Pendulum Summon per turn.

Pendulum Summoning is rather easy, if a little difficult to understand at first.

So the first thing you need to know is that Pendulum Monsters can be treated as either a Monster Card while in the Monster Zone, Hand, Deck or Extra Deck or a Spell Card while in the Pendulum Zone. In the description they will have 2 effects. The first effect or top effect is the effect that monster will have when its treated as a spell card in the Pendulum Zone. The Second effect or bottom effect is the effect it will have as a monster.

You may also have noticed two little arrows(one red the other blue) on this cards with numbers beside them. These are known as Pendulum Scales. Each Pendulum monsters scales will vary but both scales will be the same.

In order to Pendulum Summon you need to have 2 pendulum monsters in the pendulum zones (one in each zone). Simply state to your opponent that you will Pendulum Summon (since it's polite and let's them know what you are doing) and Pendulum Summon any number of monsters from your hand or face-up from your extra deck to your side of the field. The levels of the monsters summoned must be lower than the highest scale of your Pendulum Scale and Higher the the lowest scale of your Pendulum scale.

For example: if your Pendulum scale is 1-8 then you can only Pendulum Summon monsters whose levels fall between 2-7. You cannot Pendulum Summon any monster whose level is either the same as either scale or falls outside your scale.

This is considered one summon and all monsters summoned are summoned simultaneously.

Now, upon destruction Pendulum Monsters are not sent to the graveyard. They are instead sent to the extra deck and placed face-up.

Pendulum Monsters in the Monster Zone are susceptible to any effect that affects monsters (as they are treated as monsters). And Pendulum Monsters in the Pendulum Zone are susceptible to any effect that affects Spell cards(as they are treated as Spell Cards).

The Number of times you may place a monster in the Pendulum Zone is up to twice per turn.

I hope this helped.

Here's how Pendulum Monsters go. Pendulum Monsters in the Pendulum Zone are treated as spells instead of monsters, and they cannot attack or be attacked by monsters while in the Pendulum Zone. While in the Pendulum Zone, they are vulnerable to spell destruction effects. If you're wanting to summon the Pendulum Monster, you Normal/Tribute Summon it the same way monsters in your hand need. Stargazer Magician is a Level 5 monsters, so it needs a tribute to summon it.

Also to cover this quick, any Pendulum Monsters on the field that were to be sent to the graveyard go to the Extra Zone instead(Extra Deck 15 card limit won't be affected by this, Pendulum Monsters are main deck cards that are sent to Extra Zone by game rules). However there are exceptions to that rule, such as Pendulum Monsters are used as Xyz Material going to graveyard instead when detached.

You only Pendulum Summon once per turn and that can only be in Main Phase 1, hence before combat. You also can only Pendulum Summon monsters from your hand and/or any Pendulum Monsters in the Extra Zone. The limits of what you can Pendulum Summon are between the scale.

If there's a Pendulum scale of 1 and 8(two Pendulum Monsters in Pendulum Zone needed), then you can only summon monsters with levels 2 through 7, as the monsters can't match the scale numbers(1 and 8). There are different scale numbers, so plan accordingly.

Pendulum Monsters are kind of like half-Monster, half-Spell cards. That means you can use them as monsters (where you use their Monster Effect), or you can use them as Spell cards (where you use their Pendulum Effect)

1. The rules for summoning monsters do not change. If you want to Summon Stargazer Magician on your field as a Monster, you need to Tribute Summon for a Level 5, or bring him out in other ways (e.g. Special Summon somehow).

2. If you use them as a Monster, they go in a Monster Zone. If you use them as a Spell card, they go in the Pendulum Zone.

3. No. They pretty much act as Spell cards while in the Pendulum Zone, and can be destroyed with cards like MST.

4. Pendulum Monsters in Pendulum Zones are treated as Spells.

5. You can only Pendulum Summon once per turn, but you can summon any number of monsters (whose levels fall between your Pendulum Scales) during that Pendulum Summon (up to the maximum amount your field can hold).

Alright listen the cards that are pendulums they can either be activated as a spell card or summons as a monst now you notice the numbers on them lets say you have a pendulum on each side of the field (you would put them into their pendulum zone so they could have their pendulum effects and summon) the numbers are 1 and 7 now inbetween those numbers you can summon cards from your hand and extra deck with that level (the dead pendulums go ontop of the extra deck) they cannot attack in pendulum zone and you can MST these cards and you can only pendulum someone Once a turn but if your summoning the pendulum monster as a normal monster then all it has is its effect unless a card in the pendulum zone states otherwise
