for example:

i have a card called mad auntie:
its a black card with -> tap: regenerate target goblin.

I have a red enchantment card called "boggart shenanigans". Which is a tribal enchantment- goblin - thats effect deals 1 damage to target player each time a goblin is put into the graveyard from play.

Seeing as it is a goblin i would argue that you would be able to regenerate it, correct?

yes, you can. it gets tapped and all the damage will be removed.

Regeneration is a destruction-replacement effect. The word "instead" doesn't appear on the card but is implicit in the definition of regeneration. "Regenerate [permanent]" means "The next time [permanent] would be destroyed this turn, instead remove all damage from it, tap it, and (if it's in combat) remove it from combat." Abilities that trigger from damage being dealt still trigger even if the permanent regenerates.

Yes, it says regenerate a golbin and not regenerate a goblin creature which means that if you have a land that is a gobin you can regen it(lol there are no lands that are goblins)

I hate to say it, but Enchantments ARE NOT CREATURES. While it affects a type of creature, it is not a creature itself.

Therefore, it cannot be eligible for regeneration.

The ONLY EXCEPTION is if the Enchantment was originally a summoned creature, like the Licids (from the Tempest / Rath series).

I know it's not what you want to hear, but it's my opinion as a player (granted an old & retired player) on this. I hope this clears things up.
