In Magic The Gathering card game: how do Saproling creature token work for Mycoloth?

I have a Mycoloth card and it says:

Devour 2 (As this enters the battlefield, you may sacrifice any number of creatures. This creature enters the battlefield with twice that many +1/+1 counters on it.)
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token onto the battlefield for each +1/+1 counter on Mycoloth.

First what does devour 2 mean?
Secondly lets say i devour 6 creatures. does this mean each turn I can put 6 +1/+1 counters on the battle field? Confused. Thanks!

It has two separate abilities, though they somewhat depend on each other. However, to understand them, you have to look at each individenually.



First:

"Devour 2 (As this enters the battlefield, you may sacrifice any number of creatures. This creature enters the battlefield with twice that many +1/+1 counters on it.)"



The text in parentheses is the help text for this ability, telling you exactly what Devour 2 means. So whenever this creature is sent to the battlefield, you may sacrifice any number of creatures you control. Then, Mycoloth enters the battlefield with *twice* that many +1/+1 counters on it. So if you sac 2 creature to this ability, Mycoloth gets 4 +1/+1 counters. If you sac 6 creatures, it would get 12 +1/+1 counters.



Secondly:

"At the beginning of your upkeep, put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token onto the battlefield for each +1/+1 counter on Mycoloth."



This does not put +1/+1 counters on the battlefield (Counters always go onto permanents on the battlefield, not directly onto the battlefield themselves). At the beginning of the Upkeep step on each of your turns, you get a number of 1/1 creatures equal to the number of +1/+1 counters already on Mycoloth. so if it had 4 +1/+1 counters on it, you'd get 4 1/1 creatures. This repeats each of your turns.



So looking at the whole picture, essentially, for each creautre you sacrifice to Mycoloth as it enters the battlefield, it gets +2/+2, and in addition to this you get 2 1/1 creatures per turn for each sacced creature. This may change, if the number of +1/+1 counters on Mycoloth changes on subsequent turns, such as if you Proliferate it, it gets hit with -1/-1 counters, or gets targetted by an effect such as that on Vampire Hexmage.

You posted the meaning of devour above. It means that for each creature you sacrifice when the Mycoloth comes into play, you put two +1/+1 counters onto the Mycoloth and then at the beginning of your upkeep you place a 1/1 saproling token into play for each +1/+1 counter on the Mycoloth.

If you devoured six creatures with the Mycoloth, that would mean 12 +1/+1 counters on it and you would put into play 12 saproling tokens.

Devour means exactly what it says on the card. You sacrifice any number of creatures when the Devour creature enters play and then put 2 times that many +1/+1 counters on the creature (for devour 2). If you devoured 6 creatures, then there would be 12 counters on Mycoloth and you would put 12 tokens into play each turn.

If you devoured six creatures, it would be 12 counters put on Mycoloth, and each turn you would put that mean creature tokens on the battlefield.



You don't put counters on the battlefield, they're not permanents.

I am guessing you opened the p.C. And determined the token playing cards. They are integrated as somewhat of an additional to make folks a bit of happier about paying as much per percent. They're used as representatives of typical tokens. A hundred and ten.5. Some effects put tokens onto the battlefield. A token is a marker used to symbolize any permanent that is not represented through a card. A hundred and ten.5a A token is each owned and controlled by using the participant under whose manipulate it entered the battlefield. One hundred ten.5b The spell or potential that creates a token may just define the values of any quantity of traits for the token. This becomes the token's "text." The attribute values outlined this manner are functionally equivalent to the characteristic values that are printed on a card; for example, they outline the token's copiable values. A token does not have any characteristics no longer outlined by way of the spell or capacity that created it. Example: Jade Mage has the ability "2G: Put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token onto the battlefield." The ensuing token has no mana rate, supertype, expansion symbol, ideas text, or potential. A hundred and ten.5c A spell or capacity that creates a creature token units both its title and its creature form. If the spell or ability doesn't specify the title of the creature token, its title is the equal as its creature form(s).
