o.k. question 1 - If i only control non-basic lands, an my opponent plays "Global Ruin" ....What happens??? do i have to sacrifice ALL my non-basic lands???

question 2 - can creatures with "Shroud" ability be given buffs by spells or enchantments, like "glorious anthem" (just for example) spells or enchantments that don't target 1 creature in particular???

question 3 - o.k. i played a game last night and i had "Taurean Mauler" in play, my opponent played a spell that dealt 4 damage to my mauler, however because of taurean's ability, once the spell was played that dealt 4 dmg, my mauler got another +1/+1 counter so it's toughness became 5. so the spell was not strong enough to kill my mauler since as the spell was played it immediatly had a toughness of 5 instead of the 4 it had before the spell was played. My mauler doesn't die correct???

thank you!!! if you are not familiar with ANY of the cards i refer too, plz take a second to google them. Thank you!!!

1. Yes, assuming they don't have a basic land type.

2. Something only targets if it specifically uses the word "target". Since Glorious Anthem doesn't target, it is unaffected by shroud.

3. Taurean Mauler's ability will resolve before the spell that caused it to trigger. That means the Mauler will be a 5/5 before the spell even deals any damage to it, so it will live.

1. Yes.

2. Shroud prevents a creature from being targeted.

3. The ability of the Mauler goes onto the stack after the spell cast, so yes.

1) Assuming your non-basic lands didn't have basic land types (like some dual-lands have)

2) Only effects that use the word "Target" either in thier text or in the definition of a keyword in their text are stopped by Shroud.

3) That's correct. Your Mauler's ability would trigger later and therefore resolve first.
