bottom line no. once all five pieces are out exodia effect activates and there's nothing anyone can do.

note though technically you don't have to allow exodia's effect b/c it's not written on the card.

same goes for the god card. anything not written on the card means that it shouldn't happen.

one of the main reasons i don't play yugioh any more to many un written card rules that people think should apply.

P.S.- THE WAY TO STOP EXODIA IS BY USING CARD DESTRUCTION (YOU HAVE TO KNOW IF YOUR OPPENNENT HAS ALMOST GATHERED THE 5 PIECES OF EXODIA IN THEIR HAND)

ALSO TO KNOW IF YOUR OPPENNENT HAS SOME PEICES IN THEIR HAND USE THE TRAP CARD RESPECT PLAY-During their respective turns, each player must show their opponent their hand AND THEN USE CARD DESTRUCTION



ALSO JUST TO LET YOUR KNOW IF YOU HAVE ALL 5 EXODIA PIECES IN YOUR HAND YOU ATOMATICLY WIN THE DUEL
