Question:
Yu-Gi-Oh! > More Questions about some confusing Cards?
2009-11-03 13:56:45 UTC
Hello, I'll question some things about the rulings of these cards, see if you can answer some of them please.

1- Can I Special Summon Gilasaurus in the first turn of the duel, before my opponent having some monster in his Graveyard? To answer, look it's yugioh wikia page:

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Gilasaurus

[It would be great to Special Summon in the first turn of the duel, since my opponent not even played yet, or sent some monster to his Graveyard]

2- Can I use Ultimate Offering's effect more than one time in one turn?

3- If Royal Knight ATK1300 attack a monster with ATK1300, after they both die, Royal Knight's effect will work? [Sorry if it is a newbie question, but I need to know.]

4- Can I activate Magic Drain in Continuous Spell Cards that was already in the field when they activate the effect again? [Like Gravekeeper's Servant or Weapon Change]

5- Okay, I got Darkblaze Dragon Normal Summoned in my side of the field, yeah this sucks, and my opponent attacks Darkblaze Dragon, and he dies, "after" he dies, can I just activate Call of Haunted suddenly and bring him back? If not, when can I? I have to respond some another attack or spell? Or just activate it?

6- If my Wall of Illusion got Fighting Spirit equipped, and my opponent got a stronger monster and attack me, I'll destroy Fighting Spirit instead Wall of Illusion, but will the attacking monster return to my opponent's hand?

7- About Confusion Chaff now, I got 2 monsters, both ATK2000, and my opponent have just an Confusion Chaff Set, I attack once, then I attack twice, when I do this, he activate Confusion Chaff, and my monsters kill each other. But will still consider a directly attack to his LP?

And... if one of my monsters was weaken, like one with ATK2000 and other with ATK1900, should I lose LP according to the difference between the ATK of both?

That's all for today, I appreciate every help, thanks a lot!

1. Yes, Gilasaurus effect for your opponent to special summon is an option so your opponent does not need to posses a monster in the grave.

2. Yes, you can use it as much as you can pay for.

3. No, the effect would resolve after the monster is in the graveyard and since RK is no longer on the field its effect can not resolve.

4. You can not drain a continuous spell because it's effect is already active. Magic Drain negates the activation of a spell (not the activation of effects) this can not be used against a spells effect.

5. Yes you can.

6. Yes, the monster returns and you keep WoI.

7. All you had to do was declare the second attack, your opponent played it correctly.

8. Yes you lose life according to difference.

1- Can I Special Summon Gilasaurus in the first turn of the duel, before my opponent having some monster in his Graveyard

Of Course you can,Have you ever Played Yu-Gi-Oh Power of Chaos,Joey the Passion

If you start the duel and you had "Gilasaurus" in you'r hand, you can Special Summoned him

2-Can I use Ultimate Offering's effect more than one time in one turn?

Yep,You can use it more than one time in a turn

For Example you have "Sword Hunter" in you'r Hand and 2 Vorse Raiders,You have Ultimate Offering Face up and it's you'r turn

you can normal summoned 1 Vorse raider,u can pay 500 to summone the other, pay 500 to ditch theme both and sumoone Sword hunter^_^

3- If Royal Knight ATK1300 attack a monster with ATK1300, after they both die, Royal Knight's effect will work? [Sorry if it is a newbie question, but I need to know.]

Well the card Says When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, gain Life Points equal to the DEF of the destroyed monster So i gusse the Answer is YES,Since Royal Knight Destroyed the monster u gaid LP

4- Can I activate Magic Drain in Continuous Spell Cards that was already in the field when they activate the effect again? [Like Gravekeeper's Servant or Weapon Change]

Ok The Special Effect of Magic Drain that You can only activate this card when your opponent activates a Spell Card. Your opponent can discard 1 Spell Card from their hand to negate the effect of this card. If your opponent does not, negate the activation of your opponent's Spell Card and destroy it.So the Answer is Obviosly NO,Because Gravekeeper servant was already on the field,U cant activate it to Negate an Already played Spell card

Well Since you'r Monster is in the Graveyard and u have a Face down "Call of the Huanted"

When u Opponent Do any move,Like Attacking you,Activateing Spell or trap,ETC,you can Normally Activate Call of the haunted and Bring The Dragon Back

So the answer is Yes

6- If my Wall of Illusion got Fighting Spirit equipped, and my opponent got a stronger monster and attack me, I'll destroy Fighting Spirit instead Wall of Illusion, but will the attacking monster return to my opponent's hand?

Look at it in this way,Fightning Spirit Help you'r Monster,Not Changing it to another monster or changing his effect,So the answer is Yes,The attacking monster will return to the owners hand

7- About Confusion Chaff now, I got 2 monsters, both ATK2000, and my opponent have just an Confusion Chaff Set, I attack once, then I attack twice, when I do this, he activate Confusion Chaff, and my monsters kill each other. But will still consider a directly attack to his LP?

the effect of Confusion Chaff makes Activate only when your opponent declares a second direct attack during the same Battle Phase. Conduct battle between the attacking monster and the first monster that attacked directly (other effects cannot be activated during this battle).Since i'm not Sure i would say Yes,because the card Dont say Negate the attack,Just Conduct a Battle between the 2 monsters

Hope this helps you

1) yes because the effect is optional if they want to special summon or not.

2) no i says only 1 extra

3) They are both destroyed and you gain the effect of Royal Knight

4) Yes but only if it is a Continious card like Rainbow Ruins which or World Tree which activates under certian conditions. You cannot negate Macro Cosmos just because something is removed from play and it is already on the field.

5) Yes Absolutely, You can Bring him back anytime you please.

6) Yes your opponents monster would be returned to the hand.

7) Yes because it is when you declare a direct attack the that he activates the trap, or else the trap could never be activated.

8) If you opponent has the 2000 ATK Monster and you have the 1900 ATK monster you loose 100 LP.

Ok i realize that you are a noob and ask alot of questions but if you want to do a duel sometimes so that i may help you out with your deck and card rulings/ play i will be glad to do so.

1: yes. because it says they CAN

2: not anymore

3: no. because he needs to stay on the field for his effect to work

4: no. because it counters the activation of it being played from the hand

5: i think you need to wait for an spell, attack or a change of phase. (main phase battle phase ect.)

6: yes. if monster with 500 attack attacked it it will still be returned to its owners hand. because it says after battle calculation. the wall doesn't need to be destroyed.
