i have been interested in magic the gathering for a while and was doing info searching about rules, mechanics, and about the cards themselves, im not sure if i'll actually switch or do both but i'm curious to know what is the equivalent of the egyptian god cards in magic the gathering.

also no unnecessary answers like yugioh/mtg sucks, or one is better than the other. i find both to be interesting and both fun so please avoid those types of answers thank you.

Equatable, no, but if you refer to powerhouse creatures, there are a TON.

Eldrazi like he said; Emrakul, Aeons Torn, Ulamog the infinite gyre, etc.

Planeswalkers are basically players/creatures you can play. They have neither attack power nor defense, but they have abilities that gain and lose them points. The "final" ability usually takes a few turns to build up to, but are usually ridiculous (killing your opponent in one turn for instance, or restarting the game). Look up Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, and Karn Liberated for those best examples.

Slightly less dramatic examples are legendary creatures. Not as powerful, but always helpful. Avacyn, for example, is a literally indestructible angel. Krenko lets you double the count of goblins you have on the field every time he taps (about once a turn, which means if you had just him and he tapped, you'd gain a goblin "token" [same thing as a creature]. Next turn you'd get another two, then the next turn 4 more, then 8 more, 16 more, 32 more, etc. And usually you have more than just him to start with).

There's a ton of legendary creatures in the game and there's even a special format revolving around legendaries called Commander. You make a singleton 99 card deck that only uses the colors of the legendary you chose and it's actually pretty fun. Unless you really work at it, two games are rarely close.

Would the equivalent be the head arms and legs of that guy from Yugioh?

The Eldrazi are probably the closest things in terms of power and lore.
