Well since you didnt say what kind of deck you have we cant really say anything except semi weak strategies that can be fit into any deck. Every deck has a different strategy depending on the cards and the way you built it to be. Some examples are

Lockdown: prevent your opponent from doing anything

Chaos: get cards into your graveyard quickly to use the effects of cards like chaos sorceror and bls.

Spamming: normally use an archtype to use the effects to help eachother get out onto the field so you can have high att beaters, many xyz many synchros ect (works well with lockdown decks)

Those are just some good examples of some devk strategys. Next time tell us what deck you have and we can give you some tips that work with the deck.

Enjoy!

Normal strategy I'd suggest is first, if your opp goes first, if they have set cards on the field, play spells MP1 then wait till MP2 for traps in case they use a malevolent catastrophe or MST.

Also, if you play on DN, try your best to win RPS. But don't take too long or people will be ragey.

Traps to have would be: Mirror Force, magic Cylinder, Sakuretsu Armor, Dimensional prison, Spells are Dark Hole, MST, Night beam, Monster reborn (banned September 2013 til Dec 2013), and Heavy storm (Also banned until Dec 2013 TCG only)

Also, if you play real life, if your opponent you know really well, read the cards and expressions. What i mean like that is that if you know they are a defensive player, then don't attack all at once and get mirror forced. But if you know they are overconfident you should go do a massive otk if you can.

All I can think of because you didn't give a specific deck or type of deck, ie agressive beatdown, stall, troll, defensive, etc. Marshmallon or Spirit reaper serves you well in stall and defense decks. Alexandrite Dragon, Axe Dragonute, Gene-warped Warwolf help a beatdown deck. Good staple xyzs include Number 39 Utopia, Blackship of Corn, Maestroke Djinn, and Wind-up Zenmaines.

100 people is a large tournament! The Solemn trio is now a Solemn duo. This Deck is very weak to Blackship of Corn, so I suggest at least one Breakthrough Skill or Fiendish Chain. Max out Emergency Teleport and MST. Avarice is great in here. Psychic Jumper is a powerful choice that works much better than Krebons, since your opponent has no reason to attack Set monsters as they'll just Summon other monsters. I recommend Creature Swap over Reeze. Reeze requires a lot of cards on-field and in-hand to be effective. You can keep 1 if you wish. There's a version of Gusto that discards Gusto Grif with Hushed Psychic Cleric for free Gustos from Grif's effect, and thus free Synchros. It also uses One for One. By the way, if you're using Daigusto Eguls...don't. It doesn't do anything worthwhile..

I have to say some must have's for any deck is Mirror Force a few Mystic Space Typhoons and Axe of despair and or United we stand there pretty much helpful in any deck regardless of what your going for.

Personally I like Yuki Judai's Elemental and Evil heros the best. With Evil hero Gaia and Evil hero Infernal Gainer(Hell Gainer) you can (if everything goes right) attack for over 13000 on the second turn but thats just a personal preference experiment a bit and find out what works for you. Cyber Dragons are good cards in pretty much any deck so is Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind
