Question:
Are you allowed to send the card you draw during the draw phase to the graveyard in order to draw a new one?

in Yu-Gi-Oh, the card game, are you allowed to choose to do this. My brother and I have always played by that rule, but as we think about it more and more, it doesn't really seem fair. The most blatant example is when we would draw something like a blue eyes white dragon and sacrifice it and then use monster reborn to bring it right to the field. is that allowed?

no. that is very... odd that you heard that rule. it would make duels completely unballanced and unfair. especialy exodias.

When you draw a card, You can't discard it to draw another card from your deck, However you can use "Hand Destruction" to discard your cards and then draw again, But you can still use "Monster Reborn" to bring "Blue-eyes White Dragon" or others to your side of the field (Except if the monster has an ability like "Can only be special summon by...." or "Cannot be special summoned except by...") then you can't except by doing the things that the monster want (Like "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of The Begining" for example)

Hope this Helps

Nope. I don't know why you guys even play by that "rule" since it doesn't even exist in the rule book.

There is a card that would let you do something like that though, "Veil of Darkness", but that's pretty much it, and it only applies for when you draw a DARK monster.

I have played Yugioh for about 8 years, and, I know that you cannot discard the card you just drew during your draw phase just because you want to draw another one.

Um no, that's just stupid, what you draw is what you draw
