Can I bypass Limiter Removal end phase effect if i active rare?

Question

Limiter Removal: Double the ATK of all face-up Machine-Type monsters you control, until the end of this turn. During the End Phase, destroy all monsters that were affected by this effect.

Rare Metalmorph:Increase the ATK of 1 Machine-Type monster on the field by 500 points. Only once, negate the effect of a spell card that designates the monster. When the selected monster is removed from the field, destroy this card.

Well my question is, if I use Limiter removal on a machine monster, an example would be Barrel Dragon to double his attack power from 2600 to 5200. Than after my battle phase use rare metalmorph on my main phase 2. Which will negate the spell card from targeting him. So that means I can stop him from being destroyed right?
Just curious because i did that to my friend, and he saids he will still be destroyed. Though i'm pretty sure rare metalmorph will expell that result. So would I be right and barrel dragon won't be destroyed, but I could be wrong, would he?

Good theory but it doesn't work because Limiter Removal does not target. But the best way to protect a monster from being destroyed by it would be:

Atk: 500

Def: 500

Once per turn during your Main Phase, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to a face-up Machine-Type monster on your side of the field as an Equip Spell Card OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster's ATK/DEF is increased by 500 points. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the monster that this card is equipped to is destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.)

Honestly, I don't think it will end soon. Miley is so popular with her music and her show Hannah Montana. good idea, but i am sorry to say Limiter Removal doesn't target being it affects your whole field.

2. even if it did, the effect has already been active, metalmorph only works when its active and than targeted
