Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Rules on special summoning and spell cards?

1) If I play a Deep Sea Diva from my hand, it allows me to special summon another sea serpent monster from my deck. If I special summon another Deep Sea Diva, does the effect activate again allowing me to play a third Deep Sea Diva?

2) Regarding spell cards, I know that you can play quick spells like MST straight from your hand on your turn, or if it's set face down, on your opponents turn. However if it is my turn, I can activate regular spell cards right?

Thank you for answers in advance :)

"1) If I play a Deep Sea Diva from my hand, " you answered your own question.

Yes you can play spell cards on your turn.

No you cannot summon a third deep sea diva because you have to normal summon deep sea diva for the effect to take place. For your 2nd question, of course you can activate regular spell cards on your turn, unless your opponent has some sort of spell, trap or effect that is blocking you.

1. No. The effect of Deep Sea Diva reads " When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower Sea Serpent-Type monster from your Deck." You /SPECIAL SUMMON/ not normal summon Deep Sea Diva from your deck using it's effect. Therefore, no, you cannot summon a third one.

2. You can of course activate spell cards, but you cannot use non-quick spell magic cards interrupt other trap cards your opponent might play or use. For example, if your opponent activates mirror force when you try to attack, you cannot play a non-quick spell magic card like heavy storm from your hand/activate it on the field to destroy mirror force and deactivate it's effect.

*Although you actually CAN activate heavy storm, it will be activated AFTER mirror force's effect, so you could, but there would be no reason to since mirror force will simply be destroyed anyways.

Hopefully I helped, if you have any questions feel free to email me at latiosou@yahoo.com
