PSP Custom Firmware question ? :S?

Question

So I posted another question recently about cfw on my PSP 3001... but I'm just so confused about all the kinds of firmware... And what is kernel ? Because I was recently trying to get the "PSP HUD" plugin oto work on my PSP Brite (3001) (whick runs cfw 6.60 PRO B10) and I created the apropiate "seplugins" if I remember correctly (can't remember the exact name right now but I know it is correct) and I put the plugin inside but it does nothing ? It's supposed to "start" when 'NOTE' + R are pressed... but nothing happens ... So could it be that I need Kernel ?? (which I actually have no clue on what that is)
I'm confused help ??
Oh and btw I'm soon going to buy a Phat...

Got it working on my PSP Go 6.60 Pro B 10.



In seplugins.. Create a text file called VSH.txt Open it.

Inside this file, write the following line



ms0:/seplugins/hud.prx 1



Save the file and reboot your cfw (Hit Select then Restart VSH)



Then, once booted up onto the cfw again. Press Select + LTrigger to open the menu. You will be able to set things from there. Circle to leave the menu.
