Question:
Fake Yu-gi-oh! Cards?

I recently ordered and recieved a Blue Eyes White Dragon card online. The card art is the one from when the series first came out in those very first Kiba starter decks. The title name is in gold lettering but the foil square on the lower right is silver. The code for the card under the picture on the right is SDK-001. The biggest suspicion why I think the card is fake is because the holo glitter extends beyond the picture, the body, and the border of the edges have it too. But it can only be seen if I put it at an angel under direct light which I kind of have to shift around to find it. And theres a very, very tiny scratch probably 2/16th of an inch on the body of the card. When put under direct light, it glows like the holo picture making it stand out to the duller colors of the glow the rest of the card beyond of the picture already has, shifting it the same way I have to do to see the bodys glow.

Now I have another card, An Ultra Rare Dragon Master Knight with a gold name and foil box. When I compare them both the Blue Eyes is more smoother when I run my thumb across it while the Dragon Master Knight is more dry needing slightly more force to run my thumb across. When I squeeqe them, the Blue Eyes feels slightly more thicker but is noticable. I also noticed because of that, its harder to bend the Blue Eyes while its easier to bend the Dragon Master Knight. Also I could have thought the Blue Eyes weighed slightly more, but I must of been paronoid since I can't tell the difference anymore.

Now I've done reasearch already. Everything, from font, italics, text size, color, spelling, rounded edges, placement of the code, seriel, text, copyright, Yugioh and Konami symbol and foil box are right. It looks virtually like an official card if it's real. Now if it has a gold name, it's my understanding that it has to be an ultra rare or above which also has a gold foil box where as my card has a silver foil box but gold name. I payed for an ultra rare, but the seller could have listed it on the wrong type of listing for this card. Now Iv'e heard that parallel rare have the holo extend to the borders, but there wasnt enough information I found about them to tell me the coloring of the name, foil box and when it was released so that I know if the original cards from the begining had that rarity or if newer cards do. The card has the code SDK-001 which I keep seeing web results saying buy yugioh Blue Eyes White Dragon SDK-001 Ultra Rare, where Ultra Rare are suppose to have a gold name and gold foil box. Also the card doesn't have the text 1st edition or Limited edition on the left under the picture. It's just blank.

As a very new card collector of rare typs of Yugioh cards I noticed a difference the exact moment I grabbed the card removing it from it's sleeve. 10 points to the person who can clarify in detail if my card is fake or real.

yea it's real,

cards from that era are just made differently from cards today and over time the older cards (SDK SDJ SDP SDY.) would have the foil rub through the ink and it would appear like the entire card has a foil property to it

most of my sdk sdy sdp sdj cards do this (blue eyes dark magician soul exchange card destruction red-eyes etc.

Pic of the card?

Silver box = its second edition or above, gold box means first edition.....Not all kaiba structure decks were first edition.

Its still ultra rare, also abotu the feel of the card, feel of a card can feel different due to places where it was made and also they maybe using different material perhaps, hell, i have foil which were smooth but the packs from lost millenium shinies had a sandy liek surface feel.

Your thinking way too much

To give you a definite answer I would HAVE to see but. But 99% of the time when the copyright is correct an all that other mumbo jumbo then it's real, because most people don't try to make genuinely looking real yugioh cards since they don't pay off handsomely and you can get in real legal trouble.

Edit: just looked at it and it's just as I thought, it's the real deal. I just don't understand why you would think its fake.

check the back carefully. If Yugioh! has the (tm) symbol and konami has the (r) symbol it may be real, but it sounds completely fake. However, it could also be an incredible misprint if you got it in an official pack (like FET or SOD, etc.) I agree you should get it checked at a collectible store, but expect it to be fake. Sounds kind of cool...
